|
This independent study was performed by researchers from the University of Wisconsin system in June 2021, to gauge the American public’s knowledge of emerging contaminants in drinking water. Final Report | Executive Summary 1-Minute Video | Infographic |
Our Emerging Contaminant Consumer study surveyed the American public's awareness of emerging drinking water contaminants, such as PFAS, pharmaceuticals, personal care products, and endocrine disruptors. Conducted by researchers from the University of Wisconsin, the report highlights gaps in public knowledge, concerns about health risks, and the demand for transparent water quality information. This research empowers water professionals and policymakers to raise consumer awareness about water quality and contaminants.
